A British Indian, she came to limelight after successfully modeling for various commercials, including Limca, Liril and a couple of cosmetic brands in Europe.  
Karishma became an instant celebrity in the Indian modeling circles after the Kingfisher advert.  
She made her acting debut in the film, Shankardada Zindabad (2007) a Telugu language remake of Lage Raho Munna Bhai.  
Prior to her film debut, she appeared in musical albums such as, "Belly Dancer" by Apache Indian, "Mera Piya" by Sonu Nigam and Sapna Mukerjee, and "Me Against Myself" by J Sean.

Born in London, Karishma Kotak grew into a beautiful model appearing in several commercial campaigns like Dove-natural beauty soap, Kingfisher, French Connection, Wella hair, Toni & Guy, Rang Sarees; Rupali Sarees; Sagar Sarees; Diesel jeans, and Jewellery campaign. She has also walked the ramps for London fashion week 2004, Provogue, Asiana bridal shows, M.A.C cosmetics, and Lakme Fashion week 2006. The pretty-faced Karishma Kotak has been chosen as the 'New Face of Dove India 2007' and became a Brand Ambassador for South Indian Jewellery and Dove Hair Care India in 2007.

The ravishing beauty has done photo features for several international magazines such as Elle, Harpers, Seventeen, DN, Asian Woman Magazine, Asian Bride magazine, HT, L’official, Vogue, Snoop, Asiana wedding, IndoBrit, Mansworld, Indiawali Brides, and Bombay Times.

The celebrated model is all set to make her debut in 2007 with a Telugu movie, "Shankardada Zindabad" starring opposite the topmost Telugu hero Chiranjeevi. The movie is directed by actor-turned director Prabhu Deva and is a remake of Sanjay Dutt's blockbuster movie, "Lage Raho Munna Bhai".

Karishma Kotak to play heroine in 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' 
Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi is playing the hero under the direction of Prabhudeva for 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' produced by Gemini Kiran and Ravishankar on the banner of Gemini Film Circuits.
A song is to be caned at a specially erected at Annapurna Studio sometime this week. Though the regular shooting is in brisk progress, there was a deficiency so far in the film in the form of heroine.

In fact, the producers planned to bring the heroine of the original Bollywood flick, 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', Vidyabalan. Later, the names of Nayanatara, Asin and Anushka were heard. But it is reliably learnt that the unit had finally zeroed in on a Bollywood heroine Karishma Kotak as heroine.
Devisri Prasad is scoring music while Srikant is playing the role of ATM, and Sada is playing a main role.
The producer and director are planning to complete all the formalities and release the film in July.

After dating non actress Kim Sharma for half a decade, and Bollywood bombshell Deepika Padukone for half a week, Yuvraj Singh has found a new squeeze, Karishma Kotak.
For the Tollywood ignorant, Karishma is a successful model and a Telegu film actress. Karishma was born and brought up in London, and has been staying in Mumbai for the past two and a half years. She has made some interesting friends among which there are several actors and one cricketer. 

Yuvraj Singh has been seeing Karishma Kotak for a while now. The two are often seen together at suburban hangouts and five-star hotels. They make no bones about being spotted together and are pretty cosy in each other’s company.
